The Challenge

Our client Refgas makes machinery that converts waste biomass and feedstocks into energy. This stand alone unit is amazing for providing energy to remote areas in developing countries, however the covid pandemic made it additionally challenging for Refgas to show their products to their customers overseas. Although the animation we created highlighted the technical details of the machinery, their customers found it challenging to really get a sense of the scale of the machinery.

The solution

Utilising optimised models from our animation project with Refgas, we were able to create a scale model environment within virtual reality, which would allow users to walk around the machinery, along with highlighting different areas of the equipment to show their uses and functionally. The multiplayer environment allows Refgas to join in the space with their clients, without the need to be in the same room, or even the same country.
I was recommended Animated Technology by Mark McGowan as I looked to develop short animation to explain our process at a high level to attract new customers and potential investors. Animated Technologies found the perfect balance of detail in our video which has already started to generate the interest we had hoped for. They were incredibly professional and easy to work with remotely which was essential during these difficult times. They guided me through the process and required little input from me during the design process once the initial scope had been agreed which was great. I also thought what they were able to produce with my modest budget was exceptional.
